HAMMERFALL Trio To Perform Acoustic Set In Paris

HAMMERFALL members Oscar Dronjak (guitar),Stefan Elmgren (guitar),and Joacim Cans (vocals) will perform a three-song acoustic set during an appearance at a listening session/promotional party for their new album, Crimson Thunder, to be attended by journalists and fans in Paris, France this coming weekend.

In other news, contrary to previous reports, no DVD single version of the album's first single, "Hearts On Fire", will be issued by the group's record label, Nuclear Blast Records. Says Dronjak: "Nuclear Blast has decided that they would like to do a DVD audio of the whole album instead. [Producer] Charlie Bauerfeind will do a 5.1 mix of Crimson Thunder to be released at the same time as the regular version, on October 28th. Three years ago, with the release of The First Crusade, HAMMERFALL was one of the first heavy metal bands being available on DVD. Now, we are pioneering the world of surround."
